About Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122)

The Selection Procedure: A Step-by-Step Guide to Joining Rescue 1122
The application and selection process is managed by the Central Testing Service (CTS) and is designed to select the most suitable candidates. Follow these steps carefully:
Step 1: Online Application & Form Download
- Candidates must first apply online via the Central Testing Service (CTS) website.
- Website: www.ctspak.com (A link is also available at the Rescue 1122 website: www.rescue.gov.pk).
- After submitting the online application, you must download the application form from the same website.
Step 2: Submission of Hard Copy
- Send the completed and signed application form via postal mail to the Central Testing Service (CTS) headquarters.
- Application Deadline: Your application form must reach the CTS office by 22-07-2025 (July 22, 2025). Only completely filled forms that arrive on time will be accepted.
Step 3: Written and Psychological Tests
- Any communication regarding the tests will be made through CTS & ESD websites.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for written and psychological tests at designated locations.
Step 4: Physical and Skills Tests
- Candidates who pass the initial tests will be shortlisted for physical and skills tests, which will also be conducted by CTS.
Step 5: Final Interview
- Candidates who clear all the test stages will be called for a final interview.
- Interview Location: The final interviews will be conducted at the Emergency Services Department Headquarters, at Thokar Niaz Baig, Lahore.
Step 6: Medical Examination
- At the time of the interview, candidates must submit a medical report issued by a Government Teaching Hospital or DHQ Hospital.
- This report must detail their physical examination (height, weight, chest), eyesight, and laboratory test results for Hepatitis B&C, HIV, and RPR.
Important Terms and Conditions
All applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Physical Standards: Any person with vision less than 6/6 in each eye (with or without glasses) and color blindness will be disqualified.
- Medical Fitness: Candidates with a BMI of 30 or above and those who are positive for Hepatitis B & C, HIV, or RPR will be shortlisted at any stage.
- Age Relaxation: No relaxation in age or qualification is permitted (for Civilians). However, departmental employees of the Emergency Services Department will be given 5 years of age relaxation in the upper age limit for administrative posts only.
- Height Preference: Preference will be given to candidates with a height of more than 5’6″. The minimum chest size must be 33″.
- Applying for Posts: Candidates are directed to apply for only one suitable post. However, an appropriate candidate may be adjusted against another suitable post based on the recommendation of the Recruitment Committee.
- Domicile: Local residents as per their CNIC will be given preference.
- Application Volume: In case of a large number of applicants, only applications with preferred/enhanced criteria shall be considered.
- Document Verification: Candidates must justify their eligibility as per the advertised criteria. All documents are accepted provisionally and are subject to verification at any time. A successful verification, including a character and antecedents check through police and a medical board examination by the Government of the Punjab, is mandatory for final appointment.
