Punjab, often hailed as the breadbasket of Pakistan, is renowned for its fertile lands and agricultural prowess. At the heart of its horticultural fame is the delicious, world-class citrus fruit—the kinnow—that has earned regions like Sargodha the title of “the California of Pakistan.”

This vibrant sector, however, faces modern challenges that require fresh energy, new knowledge, and a dedicated effort to ensure its growth. In a major step to secure this vital industry, a landmark government development project, the “Revival of Citrus Sector in Punjab (2024-25 to 2027-28),” has been launched.

This is where you come in. An incredible “Situation Vacant” has been announced, presenting one of the largest and most exciting career opportunities for young agriculturalists this year.

The project is seeking to hire over 100 motivated and energetic Horticulture Interns to be the on-ground force for this revival. This is a golden chance for fresh graduates to move beyond the textbook and kickstart their careers with invaluable, hands-on experience.

If you are a recent graduate with a passion for agriculture and a desire to make a tangible impact, these latest jobs in Pakistan are your calling. This isn’t just an internship; it’s a launchpad.

It’s a chance to find meaningful employment, contribute to a vital national cause, and cultivate a future for yourself while helping to grow the future of Punjab’s citrus industry. • A Powerful Career Launchpad: Experience in a government development project is a significant asset on any CV. This internship will provide you with a strong foundation and a credible reference, opening doors to future jobs in government departments, research institutions, private agricultural companies, and NGOs.

By helping farmers improve their yields and practices, you are directly contributing to their livelihoods, the provincial economy, and Pakistan’s agricultural exports. It’s a chance to be part of something bigger than yourself.
    • Build Your Professional Network: As an intern, you will interact with a wide range of people, from seasoned farmers and local community leaders to government officials at the Agriculture Department and project scientists. This is an invaluable opportunity to build a professional network that can support your entire career.
