    The Bureau of Statistics (BOS), Punjab, under the strategic guidance of the Planning & Development Board, Government of the Punjab, is launching a historic and monumental initiative, The “Comprehensive Door-to-Door Socio-Economic Survey for the Establishment of PSER, 2025.”

    This is one of the most significant data collection exercises ever undertaken in the province, aimed at creating the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER).

    This registry will serve as the foundational dataset for all future evidence-based policy-making, targeted social welfare programs, and strategic development planning by the Government of the Punjab.

    Job Details: Tehsil Monitor

    We are seeking to hire across all districts of Punjab. This is a field-based supervisory role critical to the success and quality of the survey.

    Role and Responsibilities

    The Tehsil Monitor will be responsible for the smooth and efficient execution of the survey within their assigned tehsil. Key responsibilities will include:

    • Supervising and managing multiple survey teams (enumerators) operating in the field.
    • Ensuring the quality, accuracy, and completeness of the data being collected through real-time monitoring, back-checks, and field validation.
    • Providing technical assistance and on-the-spot training to field staff on the use of tablets and the survey application.
    • Troubleshooting and resolving logistical, technical, and operational issues faced by the survey teams.
    • Acting as a liaison between the survey teams and the district-level management.
    • Coordinating with local community leaders, notables, and administration to create a conducive environment for the survey teams.
    • Compiling and submitting daily and weekly progress reports to the designated authorities.

    Tehsil MonitorQualification: At least a 2nd class MA/MSc./BS/BS (Hons.) or equivalent (16 years of education) in any subject from a HEC recognized university.

    Preferred Disciplines: Preference will be given to candidates with degrees in Statistics, Economics, Sociology, Social Work, or Gender Studies.
    IT Skills: Proficiency in the use of IT equipment such as Computers and Tablets is mandatory.

    Survey Experience: Candidates having prior experience in any tablet-based survey will be given preference.

    Important Terms and Conditions of This Project

    • Nature of Job: This is a purely temporary, project-based position on a daily wage basis for a period of approximately 180 working days.
    • No Permanent Claim: Appointment to this post will not confer any right to be regularized or made permanent.
    • Selection: The selection will be made on a domicile/merit basis. About 05% additional candidates will also be called for training to create a reserve list.
    • Mandatory Training: Selected candidates must attend a mandatory training session. Those who willingly leave or are dropped from the training will not be paid any remuneration or stipend.
    • Legal Agreement: Every successful candidate must sign an agreement with the Bureau of Statistics on an E-stamp paper, committing to complete the assigned task without withdrawal.
    • No Additional Benefits: This is a daily wage position, and the project will not be liable to pay for any health/risk insurance or any other benefits.
    • NOC for Government Employees: Candidates already in government service must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their parent department.
    • No TA/DA: No travel or daily allowance will be provided for attending the interview.
