Position Title	Assistant Private Secretary (APS) (Basic Scale-16)
Core Mission	To serve as the confidential administrative aide to senior officials within the Finance Division. The APS is responsible for ensuring the officer’s workflow is seamless, efficient, and professionally managed, enabling them to focus on their core strategic and policy-making duties. This is a critical support role that underpins the effectiveness of the ministry’s leadership.
Key Responsibilities	▸ Stenography & Correspondence: Taking dictation in shorthand at high speed (100 w.p.m.) and accurately transcribing it through typing (50 w.p.m.). Managing all incoming and outgoing mail, drafting letters, and preparing official communications.<br>▸ Schedule & Meeting Management: Maintaining the officer’s diary, scheduling appointments, coordinating meetings, and preventing scheduling conflicts. This includes preparing meeting agendas, circulating necessary documents, and taking minutes.<br>▸ File and Information Management: Handling sensitive and confidential files with the utmost discretion.
