PAF Airmen Recruitment 2025: Available Trades and Eligibility Criteria

The PAF invites applications from unmarried male citizens of Pakistan to join the force in the following technical and non-technical trades.

Special Concessions and Relaxations

To ensure equitable opportunity for all citizens, the PAF offers the following concessions:

• For Candidates from Designated Backward Areas: Young men from designated backward areas of Rural Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (ex-FATA), Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu & Kashmir are eligible to apply for Aero Trades if they have obtained 55% marks in Matric (Science) and 40% marks in English.
• For Children of PAF Personnel: Children of serving or retired PAF personnel (uniformed/civilian) will receive a concession of 15 marks in their aggregate Matric marks.

The Path to Joining the Elite: The PAF Selection Process

Selection in the Pakistan Air Force is a rigorous, merit-based process designed to identify the most suitable candidates. The process consists of the following stages:

1. Online Registration: The first step is to register online at the official PAF website.
2. Intelligence & Academic Tests: Shortlisted candidates will be called to their nearest PAF Information & Selection Centre for a computer-based test covering Intelligence, followed by academic tests in English, Physics, and Maths (relevant to the chosen trade).
3. Initial Medical Examination & Interview: Candidates who pass the academic tests will undergo an initial medical check-up and a preliminary interview at the selection center.
4. Psychological Test: Candidates applying for specific trades like PF&DI may be required to undergo a psychological assessment to evaluate their suitability for the role.
5. Final Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the selection center will undergo a thorough medical examination at a designated PAF hospital.
6. Interview by Air Headquarters Special Selection Board: Candidates who are medically fit will be called for a final interview conducted by a high-level selection board.
7. Final Selection: The final selection will be made based on overall performance and merit.

How to Apply: Your Online Registration Guide

The application window is very short, so all interested candidates must act swiftly.

VERY IMPORTANT: Registration is open from July 25, 2025, to July 31, 2025, ONLY.

Step 1: Visit the Official PAF Recruitment Website

• To begin your application, you must visit the official PAF recruitment portal: www.joinpaf.gov.pk

Step 2: Start Your Online Registration

• The registration link will be active starting from Friday, July 25, 2025. Click on the registration button and carefully read all instructions.

Step 3: Fill the Application Form

• Enter all your personal and academic details accurately as per your CNIC and educational documents. Any incorrect information can lead to disqualification.

Step 4: Submit Your Application

• Once you have filled out the form, double-check all the details and submit your application. After successful registration, you will be provided with a registration slip and details for your initial test.

Step 5: Report to the Selection Centre

• You will be required to report to your designated PAF Information & Selection Centre on the given date with your original documents (including detailed marks sheet, CNIC/B-Form, and Domicile) for verification. Selection centers are located in major cities including Abbottabad, Faisalabad, Hyderabad, Karachi, Lahore, Mianwali, Multan, Peshawar, Quetta, Rawalpindi, and Sukkur.
